█ Born in Gary, Indiana grew up in Merrillville █
█ Indiana; he is the oldest of two and comes from a █
█ family with a musical background. His father is █
█ a well-known local musician, soloist and choir █
█ director who played the keyboard for local gospel █
█ artists and choirs in the city of Gary. As JRowe █
█ followed in his fatherÆs footsteps having started █
█ singing and playing instruments in church as a █
█ young boy, he aspired to be the best at becoming █
█ an artist whether it was singing Gospel or R&B. █

█ JRowe graduated from Merrillville High School and █
█ while attending MHS, he competed at various █
█ schools, churches and local competitions and was █
█ the first runner-up for the Merrillville Idol - █
█ competing against more than 40 participants. █
█ Because of his love and passion for music, JRowe █
█ was encouraged by family and friends to go after █
█ his dream and so he did. All in the year of █
█ 2007, JRowe performed at a local listening party █
█ in Gary, the Annual United Negro College Fund █
█ (UNCF) Walk-A-Thon Event held in Grant Park in █
█ Chicago, Illinois, the Circle City Classics in █
█ Indianapolis, The Iowa Congress, which Obama was █
█ supposed to attend, opened up concerts for Rich █
█ Boy in Iowa, T-Pain and Soulja Boy in Moline and █
█ he headlined his first show at the Last Level █
█ Lounge in Waterloo as well as other various █
█ venues in the Chicagoland area. █

█ JRowe is inspired by Jamie Foxx, Ne-Yo, Luther █
█ Vandross, Gerald Levert, R. Kelly, Trey Songz, █
