RELEASE NOTES
David Galas is one of the former members of the darkwave band Lycia. He has been credited with working on many Lycia releases including Lycia-Live, The Burning Circle And Then Dust, Bleak-Vane, Cold and Empty Spaces. Shortly after Lycia broke up in 2000, David began writing and recording new material for a solo release. Finally after six years he completed "The Cataclysm". This CD contains 19 tracks with a running time of over 70 minutes long.
Taken from Lords Of Metal review: "If we look at the artwork of 'The Cataclysm' we know what this is all about: the post-apocalyptic atmosphere reigning in Chernobyl after the incident with one of the nuclear reactors. That ultimate bizarre moment when the world was close to a cataclysm. That very moment when human brains were insufficient to prevent a domino effect. Scary enough you feel this situation of complete hopelessness and despair after the disaster in every single note. It is an album I suddenly felt the need to follow the lyrics, but I doubt this was a good idea for my inner peace. In other words, enjoy this magnificent musical epos, but remember to have a healthy dose sense of relativity within reach."

Ripper's note: This release has no gaps inbetween tracks, and has few (in my humble opinion) mastering faulties how the tracks are cut off. Specially tracks 14 and 15 have annoying beginning, since both still play the earlier track when starting up, then a click sound appears, and new track begins (making a point out that it's not any sort of ripping error, both clicks exist in cd too). Album itself is a masterpiece! Don't forget to buy it, if you like it:)
Release date bases on given info at the label site (http://www.vendlus.com/?page_id=7) since the covers nor cd have no year printed anywhere at all, scans included.
